CONSUMER RESPONSIBILITIES
Every consumer is personally responsible for the maintenance of this water meter as well as the protective cover. The consumer is also obliged to ensure that no foreign objects are present that will hamper the flow of the water or the reading of the water. The consumer must inform the Board immediately of any fault to the meter or the protective cover. Failure to do this will deem the consumer responsible not only for the possible waste of water, but also for any other damage or fault resulting from this.
The consumer is responsible for all charges incurred from damages caused to the meter or protective covering, either for repairs or replacement. The amount will be charged to the consumer account.
The consumer is responsible for the maintenance of his own plumbing installations that connect to the meter. Any damage or fault to this installation that results in leaks and thus waste of water and needs to be repaired is totally at the consumer expense.
The account for the water supply and other costs must be settled by the date on invoice.
